31 weeks

Today marks 31 weeks!! Only 9 more to go!!! We have been working hard to create a space for little man in the downstairs guest room. It's more of a landing zone since he'll be in our room at night for easy night feedings for a little while! Mom made curtains, bumbers a quilt and throw pillows and Adam and I printed out pictures of some of our favorite scenes from children's books and framed them and put them on the wall. It is starting to look really great. I will post pics when everything is ready. We have had 2 appts since the last blog and both went really well. I am measuring a week small which is okay with me!! I feel great (just big and a little awkward) but am definitely still holding my own. Max loves to help do anything baby related and is most helpful pulling cling on stickers off the wall where we already put them up for baby ;) hahah. Next appt will be March 8th. Pics coming soon!

24 weeks

Adam and I have decided to set up a place for baby in the guest room downstairs. He will sleep in our room at night for the first few months but it will be nice to have all of his clothes and things downstairs with easy access during the day! We are planning to purchase another crib and put it in the room too. We've started to move furniture around and we picked fabric for the curtains and crib bumper. Lots more movement from little man! We have our next appt this Friday at 2pm for a check-up. Super exciting! Max is helping to break in the baby's toys and buzzy seat that were all once his by sitting in them and playing with them himself! Here's the fabric!

23 weeks today~

Little man is growing!! We loved seeing him on the ultrasound and are super excited to find out that we are having a BOY!! He and Max are going to have so much fun. I don't feel the baby kicking as much as I remember Max kicking but the mid-wives said that it has to do with the placement of the placenta (right in front) which acts as kind of a barrier when he kicks. She said when he gets bigger and starts running out of room I'll feel him more and more. We are starting to think of some boy names but haven't really decided on any front runners yet. We are also still trying to work out where little man will be after the first few months. Should he share with Max? be downstairs? be upstairs and move Max down? So much to think about! We have a while to think about it though so that's good! I am keeping my fingers crossed for a very snowy winter season (SNOW DAYSSSSS!!!!) so that Max and I can stay home and play and we can get things ready for little man. Next appt will be January 13th...nothing exciting happening at that appt but listening to the heartbeat and having a check up are always something to look forward to! Until next time!

Almost 20 weeks!

The baby is almost 20 weeks (Tuesday) and our Ultrasound is coming up fast! I think I have felt little flutterings of the little one but I can't wait to feel it more strongly! We are so excited about finding out what we're having. The students in my classes are all voting on my white board at school. Girl is in the lead by about 20 votes. They are all suggesting some pretty awesome names too including: Max II, Little Jeezy and their own names just to name a few! We'll start concentrating more on names when we know what we're having! Update coming soon on the gender!!!

Appointment- Week 16

We had our 16 week appointment with Marty yesterday and alls well with tiniest fletch! We were only in there for about 10 mins total because Max said "Ma Ma, All Done!" as soon as Marty came in. I don't think he likes it when Ma Ma has to sit up on the bench and have people fuss over her. He did like listening to the heartbeat again which Adam and I also enjoyed of course! This time the heartbeat was 148 and it was strong! I don't feel any baby movement yet but I expect to start feeling it in the next few weeks. Our Ultrasound is scheduled for Friday, December 16th at 3:30 and we can't wait! That is one day before Adam graduates with his masters degree from JMU!!! Whoooo! That will be one exciting week! (Only a few more weeks to make your guess about the gender! Marty said she was purely guessing but with the heartbeat wives tale she would guess girl) Time will tell! Adam and I will be super stoked either way! I'm sure Max will too! xoxo
